I know Dave, albeit not all that well. He doesn't pull punches in his writing, so I could see him getting into trouble. From the organization's standpoint, they gave him a press pass on the basis that he would be covering the games for a specific newspaper. To use that pass to do a live blog for his own site and own profit... well he was a bit on thin ice there. Using that blog to criticize the organization that gave him the seat in the press box... well I wouldn't have been all that surprised if it were me getting the boot.

Definitely want/need to hear the other side of the story, but judging from Berry's account you can't not but feel sorry for the guy, especially when there are so many blogs out there. The Caps are enthusiastic about getting their fans to blog, and I don't see why other teams don't follow suit.

As a member of the Oiler fanbase let me just say that not everyone (including myself) so universally feels bad for the guy.

There's a lot more then just what is seen on the surface here. Obviously I am a huge supporter of the blogging style of communication, but people need to read more then just one side to this story to get a complete picture of what occurred.

Anyways, keep up the blogging!
