Based on the same forumula as the western conference ratings, here are the eastern conference ratings. As usual, if you disagree feel free to post your thoughts and if you can back up your arguement, who knows, maybe you can get me to change my mind.

    I generally agree with what you’ve done. One column you might add is “Coaching”. A great coach can make a big difference.

    It might explain, for example, why a Tampa team that is essentially the same this year as last actually made the playoffs last year. Now I agree with where you rank Tampa this year. But I had them ranked down there last year too, and they defied all logic to make the playoffs. :)

    Tortorella might be a hothead, but he can really motivate his team when the chips are down.
