The NHL has to fix their schedule

The NHL last year had a real whacky schedule that had some things in it that just should not ever happen like having the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals play each other 5 times in less than 2 weeks. This years schedule doesn’t seem to be much better. The Leafs and Senators have one of the better rivalries in the NHL and we will see that in abundance in October as they play each other 4 times. Four of Ottawa’s first 9 games are against the Leafs but then they play each other just once during November, December and January.

I have started up a hockey pool at so why don’t you all go over there and lets see how well you can predict the top 20 scorers in the NHL. Yes, it is a pretty simple pool. Select 20 players and whichever team gets the moist points wins. This is just the beginning. I hope to have more fun and games to announce this weekend or early next week. I’ll also have my predictions on the final NHL standings coming soon as well. Regular season hockey is only a week away. Time to get things going in

Tonight it came to my attention that someone has been plagiarising content from this website (my posts and some of your comments) and posting them on the discussion forums at Plagiarising anything from this website (or any website, book, newspaper, or anything else for that matter) is not only illegal but is gutless, cowardly and only goes to show what a piece of scum you really are. If you are caught doing this you risk being tracked down and being prosecuted (I can hold a grudge and am not afraid to go after plagiarising scumbags) so don’t do it.

Random Hockey Pool Sleeper Picks…

Ok, so it has been a while since I made a serious post so I figured I better get something out soon. So why not some hockey pool sleeper picks since we are about to enter hockey pool season. In case you are interested, here are my sleeper picks from last season. I didn’t do too bad with those picks. Savard, and Zetterberg had excellent seasons finishing 10 and 22nd in NHL scoring. Frolov and Cammalleri were pretty good in LA and Vanek scored 25 goals with Buffalo. Lehtonen missed half the season because of injury but played very good

Updates soon…

I realize that I have been silent the past couple weeks and I am behind on several recent free agent signings but things should be better soon. I have spent the last 3 nights in 3 different cities and have only spend about 3 waking hours at home since last Thursday night so not much has been done but I hope to get everything updated tomorrow night and some new articles in the not too distant future. Thanks for your patience.

Sorry for lack of posts

Sorry for the lack of posts the past week or two. I’ve been pretty busy with both work (just started a new contract) and non-work stuff as well as trying to develop a player ranking system which I hope to have done by the start of the season or shortly after. Anyway, things might ease up a bit next week so I should be able to post something more substantial like season previews for teams and/or divisions and closer to the start of the season my predictions. In the mean time feel free to use this post as an open
