NHL Predictions – 4/5/2006

Had a good night last night going 4 for 4. Hopefully tonight will be just as good. There actually aren’t too many games of significant importance tonight. The biggest game would be San Jose at Colorado. Colorado seems to be in a decent position to make the playoffs but not in the comfortable zone yet while San Jose is going to try to use some of its games in hand to catch Vancouver or Edmonton. Game Predictions – 4/3/2006

There are 10 games on the NHL schedule tonight which is a very large number for a Monday night. The big game of the night in the east is Florida at Tampa. A Florida win would put them just 4 points behind Tampa for the 8th spot in the east and they still have a game to play. A Florida win would also allow Atlanta (who plsy Ottawa) and Toronto (who plays Buffalo) a chance to close the gap a little as well (Atlanta to 3 within points and Toronto to within 5 points with both teams having a game

Game Predictions – 4/2/2006

It was a bit of a crazy night for hockey last night including 4 shutouts, 3 of which no one could have really expected. Those three were Toronto shutting out Buffalo 7-0, Washington shutting out Ottawa 1-0, and Los Angeles shutting out Dallas 1-0. The other shut out was Montreal 2-0 over Boston as Huet got his 7th shut out of the season and 3rd in a row over the Boston Bruins (he’ll likely try for a 4th straight over Boston on Tuesday). The big game today is Vancouver at Anaheim though it is seemingly becoming less important as Los

Game Predictions – 4/1/2006

Sorry for being a little later than usual. Here are tonights game predictions. I am calling the Florida-Tampa game the game of the night with Calgary-Edmonton a close second. The reason Florida-Tampa is the game of the night is because the outcome of this game will tell us if Florida has any chance at the playoffs. Florida currently trails Tampa (and Montreal and New Jersey) by 8 points which is quite a lot to make up in just 9 games. But tonighs game is the first of 3 that the Panthers and Lightning have against each other before the season
